FAMILY HISTORY
In 1870, Franz Rizzolli, native from Montan, founded his hatmaking company.
His son Felix purchased the historic Laubenhaus Nr. 60 in Bolzano’s town centre in 1919. His own son Helmuth, aided by his wife Eva, continued running the business successfully and expanded it as they years went by.
Eventually, the business was passed on to their son Thomas and his wife Paula and the great success story of the now-historic family business began.
With the purchase of the „Franziskanerstuben“ inn, the Laubenhaus Nr. 62 and ist redevelopment into the Goldenstern Townhouse, a new chapter in the family history of Rizzolli is being written.
OLD ARCHITECTURE AND MODERN CITY FLAIR
The eight-hundred year-old walls of Goldenstern tell us about by-gone times when Bolzano was an important trade center, a market place for spices, textiles and wines. Stucco ceilings, ribbed vaults, and Giotto-style frescoes bear testimony of our house’s historic and artistic value. In our wish to preserve this precious heritage, Goldenstern townhouse is the pleasing result of an extensive and careful restoration process.
